A fitted wardrobe can look simple in a finished photograph. The difficult part is the handover: the local team must know what arrives, where each piece goes, which trims are intentional and which site conditions still need checking. Before ordering, treat the wardrobe as an installation package rather than a collection of doors and boxes.

01

Start with the room the installer will receive

Show finished floor level, skirting profile, ceiling or cornice, wall irregularities, sockets, lighting, radiators and the route from unloading point to bedroom. A drawing that records only overall width and height is not yet an installation document.

02

Freeze the information that changes the carcass

Confirm finished opening, fillers, door swings, shelf positions, hanging zones and access panels. Ask the local team to mark what was measured on site and what remains an assumption.

03

Use a handover schedule

Link room, elevation, item number, package, drawing revision and installation note. Carton labels should repeat the same room and item codes so similar panels are not swapped during installation.

  • Finished floor and skirting determine plinths, scribes and the visible bottom line.
  • Wall and ceiling conditions control fillers, scribes and installation tolerance.
  • Carton and item labels let the installer follow the elevation sequence.
  • Local access and tools confirm the team can receive and assemble the package safely.

04

Agree the boundary before dispatch

WholeForm can develop the design, prepare technical drawings, coordinate materials and hardware, manage production, record quality checks and support international delivery. The UK designer, contractor or installer confirms final site measurement, local requirements, unloading, storage, installation and final acceptance.

Send the information you already have.

A floor plan, dimensions, reference image or short cabinetry brief is enough for an initial review.
